As one of the world’s leading classification societies, ABS pursues its mission to serve the public interest as well as the needs of its members and clients by promoting the security of life, property and preserving the natural environment.
ABS has a long association with the Greek ship owning community, dating back more than 60 years, when our first office opened in Piraeus to assist Greek Owners in rebuilding their fleets post World War II with the purchase of the Liberty Ships.
Since then, ABS has been providing support to Greek Shipping globally, whether for new construction projects in Korea, China or Japan, or in the regular class and statutory surveys of vessels in ports all over the world.
